Bring Michael Rosen into your classroom with Hot Poets Ignite
Ready to take your National Poetry Day journey further?
Hot Poets Ignite is a new digital teaching pack for KS2 and KS3 that brings climate poetry, creative learning and climate science together — with Michael Rosen joining you on screen in the classroom.
Created with the University of Oxford’s Centre for Climate Research and UCL’s Centre for Climate Change and Sustainability Education, Ignite uses poetry and a pedagogy of hope to help young people feel less scared, more informed and more powerful about the world they will inherit.
Across four class-facing films, Michael Rosen and the Hot Poets introduce poems, extraordinary real-world climate stories and creative writing challenges. There’s also a CPD film for teachers, exploring practical and hopeful ways to bring climate conversations into the classroom.
And all the planning is done for you.
Each film is supported by ready-to-use PowerPoints and PDF lessons, printable poems, interviews with leading scientists and climate fact sheets — all available to watch and download from your school’s own resource page.
Want to try it first?
