Ifor ap Glyn is a Welsh language writer and performer and has worked as a presenter, writer and producer for television and radio (BBC). A two time winner of the Crown for poetry at the National Eisteddfod (1999 and 2013), he has been Bardd Plant Cymru (Children’s Poet for Wales) and between 2016-22 was Bardd Cenedlaethol Cymru/ National Poet of Wales.

He has published six volumes of poetry, contributed to many anthologies and has authored several books on Welsh history. Ifor was chosen to appear at the opening of the Senedd in Cardiff along with Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey. His poetry shows include Lliwiau Rhyddid (The Colours of Freedom) and Y Gadair Wag (The Empty Chair). He has performed around the world from China to Cameroon and his work has been translated into over 20 languages.
